Procurement Consultant

£67,000 - £73,000

We are working closely with a procurement consultancy who provide a managed service to a number of private healthcare and diagnostic centres across London.

They are looking for someone who can oversee and deliver on a portfolio of complex major clinical procurement projects, as well as participate in board work, C-suite negotiations and P&L management.

The ideal candidate will have a consultancy background with prior experience consulting on behalf of healthcare, pharmaceutical or life sciences organisations on procurement/supply chain projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Procurement as a senior leader within in the clinical category team
• Lead in the procurement of healthcare goods and services by delivering high value projects
• Ensure and lead a proactive and proportionate contract management approach
• Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to drive performance improvements

Must have:

• Strong clinical/healthcare/pharmaceutical/life sciences category knowledge
• Prior experience working with a healthcare/research background

Desirable:

• MCIPS qualification
• Prior line management experience
