Senior Control System Engineer (800xa)

My client, an international systems integrator based in Aberdeen is looking for a Senior Control System Engineer to support with oil & gas projects. The engineer will ideally have experience with ABB systems and technology although, knowledge of other providers will suffice i.e. Allan Bradley, Siemens etc.

Main responsibilities

• Design, develop and commission automated systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with clients and engineers to develop solutions to industrial processes and projects.
• Analyse and troubleshoot plc hardware and software for system optimisation.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Travel offshore to install, commission and troubleshoot on company projects.

Essential Experience

• 5 plus years of experience in plc programming and industrial automation.
• Experience in a variety of plc/automation systems.
• Strong understanding of ladder logic and PLC architecture.
• Experience with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software and SCADA systems.

Desirable Experience

• ABB Automation and control systems experience - 800xa, AC800m, INFI, AC450 etc.

Salary & Package

• 60K - 65K (Potentially more depending on experience)
• OTE earnings approximately 20K+ annually.
