Full Job Description

Finegreen are currently recruiting a Senior Corporate Governance Manager to work in the East Midlands. This is an interim position for 3 months initially with an hourly rate of £34.65, working inside IR35 and through an umbrella solution company.

The role will require 2-3 days on site working and the rest can be carried out remotely.

The post holder will provide high level advice to colleagues within the organisation about the creation, ratification, promulgation and review of all policies and procedures, ensuring that there is an effective framework and processes in place in respect to policy management.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead on ensuring all Board committees are properly constituted, have clear terms of reference and that they are operated and supported effectively, according to Standing Orders;
  • Provide complex advice to Board members on the conduct of meetings;
  • Plan, and lead on producing high quality agendas and papers for Board committees;
  • Establish an annual and monthly programme of work for Board committees to ensure that they meet all regulatory reporting requirements and that any follow up action is recorded and monitored appropriately;
  • Responsible for regularly reviewing and up-dating the Trust’s Corporate Governance Framework;
  • Contribute to the production of regular reports to Audit Committee in respect of these registers;
  • Lead on the health and safety agenda within corporate governance, providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Must have experience working within the NHS/ a healthcare setting;
  • Educated to degree level or significant experience of taking minutes and producing action logs (and follow up action);
  • Detailed knowledge of information governance and health and safety agendas;
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Fully computer literate with knowledge of Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Email and Intranet;
  • Able to give advice on corporate governance issues and analyse a range of complex facts and situations, to interpret and decide upon the best option to follow;
  • Able to analyse highly complex, sensitive and often highly contentious legal issues and make judgements about the best course of action to take.
