Sizewell C. The power of good for Britain. 


Location: London with travel to Suffolk  

Employment type: Permanent full-time
 
Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full- time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part- time approach where possible. 
 
Salary: Competitive salary, plus bonus and other benefits.

The Opportunity   

Are you interested in joining the communications team at one of the biggest and most exciting clean energy developments in the UK? Sizewell C is the latest nuclear power station project to get underway and is a key part of Government’s plans to move to a low carbon energy system. 

After obtaining planning approval and Government financing support, early construction at our site in Suffolk has started. When completed, Sizewell C will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for at least 60 years.  Alongside more renewables, our power station will help fight climate change, strengthen Britain’s energy security and lower electricity costs for consumers.  

We are looking for a first-class communications professional to lead our digital and social media strategy and to make sure we produce outstanding content for all our audiences. This is a senior communications role on a high-profile energy project and a fantastic opportunity to shape the way we tell our story.  

The role will be based in London but will require regular travel to Suffolk. We will provide the necessary IT equipment to enable a mix of office-based and home working.  

The Role 


This is a key creative and management role in a fast-growing team based in London and Suffolk. 


You’ll oversee the digital and social media strategy for all our online channels and platforms. 


You’ll commission film, photography and other content from the inhouse communications team and outside service providers. 


You’ll work closely with the Director of Communications and manage at least two other members of the communications team. 

  The Skills 

You’ll be a first-rate communications professional with great creative judgement and wide experience in implementing digital and social media campaigns.


You’ll have extensive experience in producing digital content which boosts engagement and supports wider strategic objectives. 

You’ll have expert knowledge social media audiences and the content required for different platforms (x, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram).

This role will suit someone who has worked in a busy inhouse team or communications agency.  

It would be great if you have knowledge and/or experience of the energy sector and infrastructure projects. Political or government experience will be an advantage too.
