Senior Finance Business Partner - Commercial Lines (London Market) - Salary Circa £90,000

Are you a finance professional who wants to work closely with the business to drive performance and growth?

The role will suit someone with both strong financial and analytical skills, as well as great communication and influencing capability. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the finance team, business partnering our GCS business (Global Corporate and Specialty) within UKGI Commercial Lines. It’s an exciting time to join with a significant growth and transformation journey ahead. The person in this role can be based anywhere in the UK but will need to be comfortable travelling to our London office on a semi-regular basis.

A bit about the job:

The focus of the team and role is to provide financial support and robust challenge in equal measure to the GCS business.  You will act as the primary Finance point of contract for certain lines of business, covering all financial matters in these areas.

This includes:

  • Financial and business planning and forecasting, directly involved in the shaping of business strategy with our GCS teams.

  • Drive performance management of the GCS business including decision support on deals, transformation and strategy and proactive analysis to identify opportunity and support plan delivery.

  • Supporting the GI finance transformation programme to enable to make the finance function best in class, highly efficient and focused on value add.

  • Representation of GCS Finance at key meetings (such as quarterly deep dives, planning sessions, Senior Leadership monthly meetings, valuation meetings, etc)

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Commercial foresight and understanding of the Insurance business - (A strong familiarity with London Market/Corporate & specialty sector is essential)

  • Strong financial understanding of General Insurance P&L accounts and reporting measures.

  • Background of commercially focused finance roles, with business partnering experience preferred.

  • A relevant accounting qualification e.g., CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent.

  • Knowledge and familiarity of modelling and analytical tools.

  • Salary Circa £90,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
