Consumer Additions are pleased to be partnered with a luxury activewear brand who are looking for a Senior Garment Technologist to join their team based in Central London.


This role is a Garment Tech and Product Developer hybrid with it being an excellent opportunity to work across various areas of the design and development process.


Key responsibilities


• Collaborating with the Creative team to translate the vision and design into product.

• Generating tech packs, including sketches and CADs containing technical product information. Proficiency in pattern making and managing fabric and trim libraries is required.

• Managing size standards and providing documented fit comments to vendors according to the critical path.

• Initiating and approving graded spec charts, ensuring consistent grading across all vendors.

• Cultivating effective relationships with vendors and acquiring a comprehensive understanding of their capabilities.

• Coordinating with Merchandising, Design, Production, and Garment Technology to ensure all interests are represented in deliverables.

• Communicating aesthetic and cost demands effectively to vendors.

• Verifying that initial product costings align with margin targets and overseeing cross-costing when necessary.

• Collaborating with the production team to manage the seasonal SMS.

• Sourcing new suppliers and regularly assessing supplier capabilities.

• Facilitating the timely handover of collections with feedback from internal stakeholders.

• Continuously exploring and developing trims, fabrics, finishes, and techniques.


The ideal candidate


• Minimum of 8-10+ years’ experience in Product Development, Garment Tech, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.

• Proficiency in sketching and CADing.

• Essential experience in pattern cutting and grading, with a demonstrated ability to lead fit sessions from prototype to bulk production.

• Experience in both Fully Factored & CMT environments.

• Versatility across Swimwear, Ready to Wear, and Accessories categories.

• Understanding of Product Costing & Margins.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and PLM programs.

• Strong analytical skills with an understanding of the global supply chain's impact on business financials, KPIs, and metrics.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Detail-oriented, resourceful, and adept at follow-up; leveraging contacts to gather information and drive solutions.

• Flexible with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.

• Team player with the ability to collaborate across cultures, geographies, and time zones.

• Skillful in developing efficient processes and continually seeking opportunities for improvement.
