Summary:

Senior HR Advisor
On site working with one day remote after training

You will be an integral part of the HR team second to the HR Manager with a great credible mentor. The position is varied, offering plenty of employee relations exposure and the opportunity to work with managers to advise on best practices, policy, and procedures. This position would suit someone who is looking for the next step up from advisor with additional responsibility working with a great team of people.


The role itself
  • Working closely with managers across the business assisting them to understand policies and procedures and employment legislation.
  • Support and guide HR team to monitor workload to ensure objectives are met.
  • Work alongside managers to recruit and resource the right candidates
  • Provide interview, selection and onboarding advise to the management team
  • Deputise for HR Manager when required
  • Working closely with managers to advise on policy, practice and procedures
  • Manage employee relations caseload alongside managers on disciplinary, grievance and absence
  • Manage all administration elements of the employee life cycle
  • Support and coach managers on all employee life cycle
  • Recruitment and selection across the departments
  • Work with the HR Manager on any projects
  • Manage the absence process
  • Contribute to the development of HR processes and procedures
  
The Candidate
  • A good level of experience of managing disciplinary, grievance and capability cases
  • Proven work history at HR advisor level or above
  • A confident approach and excellent communication skills
  • Experience of managing multi-disciplined teams on a range of complex employee matters
  • Ideally CIPD qualified
  • Attention to detail and drive for accuracy
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Able to work with autonomy and as part of a team
  • You will have energy, confidence and accountability in your position
  • Employee relations experience is essential
  • A sound knowledge of employment law
