Senior Health & Safety Advisor (Scotland)
Main Contractor on Wind Farm projects
55,000 - 70,000 Packages
Scotland Only (Commutable from Glasgow)

Outline of the role

The Senior Health and Safety Advisor will report to the Regional SHE Manager and will contribute to implementingand monitoring the SHE policies and arrangements on a project within the Scotland region. This will involvesupporting and collaborating with the project team, internal and external stakeholders, auditing, monitoring andmeasuring SHE performance, assisting with SHE reports, sharing best practice and coordinating activities within the
project team.


The role will also require engagement with a range of supply chain contractors on the project and regular site toursto review operational activities.

As a Senior Health & Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Assist in the implementation of the internal SHE management system

Assist and support the Project Management

Enable the company to secure repeat business by exceeding client expectations,

Develop effective working relationships with delivery team on site

Develop external relationships and attend HSQE-related learning and networking events.

Your required Skills and Experience

  • Positively influence SHE leadership behaviours by your own actions, set the standard and demonstrate highstandards of ethics and professional integrity,
  • Plan and conduct regular audits of site locations SHE practices and documentation,
  • Support and assist with incident investigations and reporting to ensure company operating procedures areimplemented
  • Support the Project Manager regarding regulator queries and requests
  • Lead SHE agenda to ensure guidance and support is in place for project teams in relation to regulatory andclient specific requirements
  • Assist the implementation of a Company-wide consistent management approach to SHE requirements,
  • Support and guide company management with a positive solutions-based approach to addressing challenges inSHE performance
  • Keep up to date with legislative changes
  • Third level degree qualification in relelvant engineering, construction or SHE discipline.
  • NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum
  • Full Manual Driving License
  • At least five years experience working in construction SHE environment.
  • Effective working knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and construction management best practice.
