A leading international law firm is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior In-House Lawyer specialising in Regulation & Conduct to join their London-based team. The role of Senior In-House Lawyer – Regulation & Conduct offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing expert guidance on regulatory matters and fostering a culture of compliance excellence.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior In-House Lawyer – Regulation & Conduct:


  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments and changes affecting the legal landscape, providing timely advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential regulatory and compliance risks, developing strategies to mitigate such risks effectively.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on legal and regulatory requirements, promoting a strong culture of compliance awareness throughout the organisation.
  • Lead internal investigations into compliance-related issues, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to implement appropriate remedial actions and preventive measures.
  • Represent the firm in regulatory matters, engaging with regulatory bodies and industry associations to advocate for policies and regulations that align with the firm's interests and values.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, risk management, and business units, to ensure a coordinated approach to regulatory compliance and conduct matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the firm's regulatory compliance programs, leveraging best practices and industry benchmarks.


Qualifications:


  • Qualified solicitor with significant experience in regulatory and compliance law, preferably gained within a leading law firm
  • Proven track record of providing strategic legal advice on regulatory and conduct-related matters, with a deep understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards particularly in relation to SRA requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving change initiatives.
