Heriot Brown is working with an industry leading insurance company. They have significant global presence, offering a wide range of insurance products and services to individuals, businesses, and organisations.
About the role
Our client is seeking a senior insurance lawyer interested in a Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) beginning in April 2024. Additionally, there is potential for this to transition into a permanent role. You will work across all areas of their European business providing legal advice and services, identify and mitigate legal risk, supporting on insurance and reinsurance matters for the underwriting teams both at Lloyd's and the UK insurance company. Your responsibilities will involve providing legal services to the business, supervising junior lawyers and non legal staff, instructing external counsel and stay up to date with industry and regulatory knowledge.
Who are you?
To be considered for this position, you'll need to be a qualified lawyer with at least 8 years' legal experience within the insurance sector from a well respected law firm or a reputable insurance company with recent in-house experience. Experience of advising general insurance underwriters and understanding of the Lloyds and London company markets would be ideal.
