Templeton and Partners are on the look for an 'IP Tech Lead' to join one of our clients and leading organisation within the Telecoms space.
Location: London
Duration: 6months Initial
Summary:
The main function of an IP Tech Lead is to supervise a scrum of Network Designers, Testers, and Fulfilment Engineers throughout the whole project life-cycle - from requirements gathering and analysis stages, through design, testing, delivery, and hand-over to network operations and service/network reliability teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely and communicate proactively with Scrum Masters and Project Managers to plan project activities - daily, per sprint, as well as quarterly
- Provide resource and effort estimates to Resource Managers and Scrum Masters
- Work closely with a scrum of network engineers and supervise their work in order to ensure their deliverables follow the companies best practices
- Call-out risks, exceptions or deviations from standard processes (technical or project related) and present them to senior management
- Contribute in the design stage by providing valuable input and insights to Network Designers
- Contribute and provide insights to Fulfilment Engineers in writing MOPs and signing them off
- Contribute and provide insights to Test Engineers in writing test plans and signing them off
- Act as a point of escalation during project related issues or outages
- Act as an end-to-end solution owner across the different teams and functions, from kick-off to hand-over
Requirements:
- Previous work experience required in the telecommunications sector, preferably in a solutions design role
- Strong understanding about networking technologies, like routing, switching, security/firewalling, load-balancing, and QoS
- Experience working on Nokia 7750 service routers, Cisco IOS XR, and NXOS
- Experience with Fortinet firewalls and F5 load-balancers is a plus
