International private equity portfolio company expanding their legal team

4+ PQE Legal Counsel, B2C/Retail

Permanent Senior Legal Counsel opportunity

Corporate M&A or Litigation experience desired

The successful candidate will work closely with UK & Ireland Legal Director to support on a variety of legal matters across the business as well as helping to implement strategic legal and compliance projects with a focus on consumers. Key responsibilities:

• Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts
• Navigate internal governance matters and provide guidance to the wider business
• Work with colleagues to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements including managing any regulatory investigations
• Assist on contractual disputes and manage litigation cases
• Support the development and ongoing review of processes including training the wider business and templates
• Liaise with third part advisors and service providers
• Ad-hoc support to the wider legal team

You will:

• Come with a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience
• Strong knowledge of UK commercial and contractual law
• It is desirable that you have worked in-house or in a consumer focused environment/with consumer clients
• Come with a confident attitude with ability to push back on decisions and actions when required and actively contribute to business discussions
• You are someone who cares about making a positive impact on a daily basis and you come with a can do attitude and creative mindset

This opportunity is based in Bristol with 3 days a week in the office.
