Senior Counsel, Wealth Management Europe

Our client a leading European Wealth Management banking business are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel based in London to support the European investment management business

The Role:

• Provide specialised, strategic legal advice and support to the business on a range of legal issues within wealth management in Europe with particular focus on investment management and custody solutions.
• Collaborate with business partners and colleagues across other functions to provide legal support and recommendations relating to the development of new products and digital solutions and Regulatory Matters
• Advise on relevant law and regulation both for existing business and new product development
• Manage the activities of external counsel
• Review, draft, advise on and negotiate client terms of business and investment management agreements
• Review, draft, advise on and negotiate UK elements of key supplier arrangements as and when appropriate.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Lawyer with experience working in in-house within financial services or Private Practice ideally with experience in investment management and or custody services.
• Proven ability to execute on key strategic initiatives.
• Proven business/industry expertise with in-depth, specialized knowledge and experience of UK and European regulations concerning private wealth / investment management services.
• Excellent drafting skills, with the ability to write clearly and succinctly.
• Displays common sense and good judgment.
• Interact with business and functional stakeholders
