Our client

We are currently partnered with one of the pre-eminent sovereign wealth funds on a brilliant senior legal counsel hire at circa 5-10PQE, working across a broad range of the businesses non-contentious legal matters in the UK and overseas, with coverage across the firms investment and support functions. This SWF are a long-term, global investor in fixed income, equities and alternative investments.

The position

In this position, you will be responsible for covering a range of matters, however the focus will predominantly be on transactions related to private investments, alongside the reviewing and negotiating of a range of contracts specific to public markets and securities (custody agreements, securities lending agreements and brokerage agreements). There will also be coverage across more broad commercial contracts work, FS regs and generally supporting the business on other applicable laws and regulations.

Experience requirements

• 5-10PQE experience across Corporate M&A, Commercial Contracts or Capital Markets with exposure to both Public/Private markets essential (secondment/In-House experience also advantageous).
• Strong academic background
• Consummate team player with excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism to interact well with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness, conviction, and willingness to provide considered, practical and calibrated advice.
