Position Overview:
They are seeking a talented Senior
Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team and play a key role in
the design and delivery of mechanical building services for their
diverse portfolio of commercial projects. The successful candidate
will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects for renowned
clients, contributing their expertise to create cutting-edge solutions
that prioritize sustainability, efficiency, and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design process for
commercial projects, from concept through to completion, ensuring
compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Conduct detailed design calculations, simulations, and technical
analysis to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.

Produce high-quality design documentation, including drawings,
specifications, and reports, to communicate engineering solutions
effectively to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including
architects, structural engineers, and contractors, to integrate
mechanical services seamlessly within building designs.
- Provide
technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their
professional development and promoting a culture of continuous
learning and improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's
degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Proven experience in mechanical design engineering within the building
services sector, with a focus on commercial projects.

Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP,
and HVAC design software.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems,
pipework design, and thermal comfort principles.
- Familiarity
with industry standards and regulations, including CIBSE guidelines
and UK building codes.
- Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
within a multidisciplinary team and engage with clients and
stakeholders.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working
towards chartered status is desirable.
