Senior Mechanical Process Engineer - Capenhurst, Cheshire
Contract - 6 months (potential to extend)
Up to £65 per hour
(Inside IR35)
Hybrid (will require site presence in Capenhurst
initially, moving to hybrid)
You will join the client's
engineering team in the Nuclear sector, where you'll lead Front End
Engineering Design projects and drive the delivery of Conceptual and
Basic Design for new builds or modifications of production facilities.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to shape Plant Design
requirements and develop Client Group design standards, ensuring
world-class safety and competitive advantages.
Responsibilities
·Foster a proactive safety culture and ensure advanced plant
designs incorporate industry best practices.
·Lead FEED projects,
delivering Conceptual and Basic Design with a focus on Process &
Mechanical (P&M) expertise.
·Oversee Detailed Design and supplier
quality processes, maintaining Group Reference Design standards.
·Conduct Post Implementation Reviews to provide feedback from
safety and operational perspectives.
Requirements
·Bachelor's degree in physics, Process Technology, Nuclear, or
Mechanical Engineering.
·Equivalent qualifications combined with a
Professional Engineer (PE) license obtained through accredited
examination in related areas are acceptable.
·Demonstrated success
in delivering complex process facility designs, including conceptual
designs and FEED.
·Senior-level experience in plant design.
·Specific expertise and technical skills, including the ability to
model and simulate complex stationary and dynamic integrated process
systems, P&M experience in the (nuclear) process industry, and
proficiency in analysing measurement data to enhance system
performance.
