Full Job Description

BioTalent has partnered with a Viral Vector Manufacturing Organisation in London to search for a Senior Operations Manager to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

As the Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient operational management of the manufacturing facility and its portfolio of projects.

This position will be onsite for the majority of the time, likely 5 days per week with occasional days working remotely.

This role will offer you:

• Opportunity to work with key stakeholders internally and externally to lead exciting projects within viral vector manufacturing.
• Opportunity to influence and deliver the overall operational strategy within the organisation.

You will be responsible for:

• Cross functional business management including line management of four team managers, including, Head of Business Development, Head of Project Management, Business Manager, and Operations Officer.
• Building relationships with clients and key stakeholders, anticipating future manufacturing needs and ensuring client collaboration
• Aligning project goals and outcomes with the overall strategic objectives of the organization to contribute to its long-term success.
• Managing budgets, financial forecasts, and expenses to optimize financial performance and ensure operating within budgetary constraints.
• Provide leadership and direction to operational teams to effectively allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to maximize productivity

You will bring the following:

• A degree in biotechnology or a similar related discipline, along with significant experience in industry.
• Experience within a senior leadership position, with a demonstrated background in executing business strategy and delivering complex projects.
• Knowledge and experience working with viral vectors would be highly desirable.
