What You’ll Do:

Premier League Productions (PLP) are proud to be the production partner to the most watched football league in the world. Globally, we broadcast to 189 out of 193 UN member states, serve over 100 broadcast partners and our work is available in over 900 million homes across the world.  Our wide array of high-quality output includes live matches, digital content, studio shows, promos and magazine programming, all delivered across multiple platforms.

Join PLP's Programming department as a Senior Producer and be a vital part of our dynamic team. Collaborate closely with the Head of Programmes and a team of Senior Producers to oversee the department's operations.

The ideal candidate should bring extensive experience as a live gallery producer and possess exceptional team management skills. Your responsibilities will include the oversight of a strand of programs, with a key role in producing a diverse range of content, including our flagship show, 'Matchday Live.'

As a Senior Producer, you will work in tandem with the production management team to ensure efficient and budget-conscious program execution. Collaboration is key, both within the programming department and across PLP and the Premier League - including the Broadcaster Services and Digital & Creative departments. This unified approach will enhance communication and collaboration throughout PLP.

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

  • To help oversee and manage the Premier League Productions Programming department.

  • To gallery produce high quality programming – including PLP’s flagship show ‘Matchday Live’ – which covers all 380 Premier League games.

  • Have direct responsibility for a strand of programmes within the department, working with production teams to manage those shows in their planning and editorial output.

  • Work with the PLP Production Management team to ensure programmes are delivered on-budget.

  • Close liaison with the On-Screen Team department to help deliver all requirements for the programmes responsible for.

  • Forward planning, idea generation and the ability to think creatively. Innovation is a key part of PLP.

  • Work collaboratively with other key PLP departments, particularly the Digital department and Broadcaster Services.

  • Work collaboratively with the Premier League and its partners to deliver world class content and services.

  • Recruitment of staff, whether contracted or freelance members of production team where necessary.

  • Line management and on-the job training for production team members including Producers, Assistant Producers and Editorial Assistants.

  • Responsible for adhering to compliance guidelines for broadcasters/client as appropriate.

  • Working with colleagues from other IMG departments and contributing to ideation and pursuit of new business opportunities where possible.

  • Helping to drive and develop a culture of inclusion within PLP.

You Will Have The Following Strengths:

  • Excellent knowledge of Premier League football.

  • Previous experience as a Producer within a major sports production team.

  • An extensive portfolio of work covering various types of football programming.

  • An understanding of all the operational and logistical requirements of live studio programming.

  • Experience of dealing with On-Screen Team (e.g.Presenters, Commentators, Sports Personalities).

  • Knowledge and understanding of current and future trends in sports media.

  • Proven history of performance/appraisal management with the ability to offer training solutions.

  • Good organisation and communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • An ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Experience of managing production teams.

  • Experience in producing running orders and dealing with all aspects of live production.

  • Health & Safety training in Production.

  • Keen interest in and knowledge of Premier League football.

  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills.

  • Works effectively as part of a team.
