Senior Project Manager, Automotive IC Developments

Job Summary:
 

Experienced semiconductor IC Project/Programme Manager with direct experience, and track record, of bringing automotive products through the NPI development process from definition to production release, including all quality, functional safety and qualification related analysis and documentation.

The successful candidate will undertake the role of Project Manager of multiple concurrent semiconductor IC developments for emerging automotive applications. Responsible for managing the project planning, execution, cost and schedule tracking for the delivery of multiple IC products that meet with all customer requirements.

The role will require someone with a high energy level that can drive a multi-discipline team to deliver quality products within schedule and cost targets. A proven track record of product delivery in automotive IC development is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage integrated circuit development projects from initiation to delivery.

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple concurrent projects.

• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget.

• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

• Ensure resource availability and allocation.

• Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.

• Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs.

• Report project status, issues and escalate to senior management as needed.

• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

• Participate in regular customer calls, managing project alignment to customer requirements and maintaining the customer relationship.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and test engineering, to ensure project milestones are met.

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes creativity and excellence.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of BSc in a relevant discipline such as Physics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

• Proven experience in project management, specifically in the development of integrated circuits for automotive applications (ISO-26262).

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

• Experience with technical program management of a distributed international team is desirable.

• Proven ability to understand requirements to assign and prioritise tasks to staff appropriately.

• Familiarity with semiconductor industry standards and practices.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Team-player who positively interacts and shares knowledge.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Experience with project management software tools.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus but not essential.
