Role description:

Our Residential and Commercial Developments team are looking for an ambitious Senior Project Manager to join their London team. 

You’ll support the team with ongoing design and build and joint venture projects within the resident and commercial sectors. 

Arcadis are involved in some of the UK’s most complex and stimulating projects, that are diverse and technically demanding. We have an enviable reputation in the delivery of such schemes and are working closely with our blue-chip clients delivering their most important projects.

Role accountabilities:

  • Building trusted relationships with members of client organisations to lead delivery teams and support opportunities for new and repeat business;
  • Day-to-day delivery and contract administration of a project or projects (prime and affordable residential, developer led, PRS, BtR, PBSA) to budget, quality and time metrics;
  • Delivering timely and accurate data collection, analysis and reports;
  • Working within established financial systems and clear project objectives to produce plans, schedules and track budgets, highlighting variances in order to manage and control project delivery targets;
  • Managing of any project risks or issues to ensure the project is not adversely impacted, and monitor the delivery of projects to relevant standards;
  • Interacting effectively across the organisation, completing professional level tasks for others to ensure projects/programmes can be delivered to meet client expectations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant business experience including management of projects ranging from £5m to £50m+;
  • Industry relevant degree or qualification;
  • MRICS or equivalent professional membership (or working towards);
  • Good residential led development experience;
  • Good knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts;
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to liaise with peers and senior colleagues and build and maintain relationships;
  • Building the ability to negotiate and manage relationships with external stakeholders;
  • Commercial acumen and organisational understanding;
  • A logical approach to co-ordinate multi-faceted aspects of projects;
  • Knowledge of own area and a general understanding of wider programme and business.
