Senior Quant – Execution Algorithms and Portfolio Construction

Full Job Description

Spark Digital Trading is seeking a Senior Quant for our London-based crypto trading operation. You will:

• Run simulations and research ways to improve our trading, including research and quantitative analysis of portfolio construction and trade execution
• Perform transaction cost analysis and reporting
• Monitor firm-wide portfolio risk and exposures
• Work with our execution traders to monitor the live trading application and troubleshoot when issues arise
• Serve as a primary point of contact with our global crypto counterparties

We expect candidates will bring prior experience in some but not all of these areas. We will also consider entry-level PhD candidates. You will begin in your areas of expertise and rapidly broaden to learn about the entire business. Quantitative skill is essential, and C++ programming will be required. This opportunity does not involve working on alpha generation but may be of interest to candidates who are looking to avoid that crowded space and use their high-level technical skills for outstanding compensation.

The Senior Quant opportunity is located in our London office in Marylebone but does not require in-office presence every day. You will have significant flexibility in setting your own hours. Excellent work-life balance. Prior crypto experience is not required and is not a factor. Compensation exceeds market average; base of £300K plus bonus plus profit-sharing.
