Senior Reinsurance Technician

Key Responsibilities:


LORS System Management:

  • Utilize the LORS system for efficient collection/payment of Reinsurance monies with Lloyd's syndicates

Excel Spreadsheet Analysis:

  • Conduct detailed analysis and processing of Excel spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and compliance

Policy Entry and Premium Accounting:

  • Use in-house systems to create policy entries
  • Process premium accounting bordereaux and enter data onto the company's in-house system

Treaty Processing:

  • Efficiently handle treaty processing tasks to support the smooth operation of reinsurance agreements

Client Liaison:

  • Communicate with clients to ensure prompt payment of premiums and address any inquiries or concerns

Payment Reconciliations:

  • Perform reconciliations for premium and claims payments to maintain accurate financial records

Monthly Brokerage Targets:

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure monthly brokerage targets are met and contribute to the overall success of the department

Renewal Statistics and Evidences of Cover:

  • Prepare renewal statistics to facilitate decision-making processes
  • Generate evidences of cover to meet contractual obligations

Conduct and Compliance:

  • Support the implementation of good conduct within the business for optimal outcomes for customers and policyholders
  • Ensure compliance with PRA and FCA conduct rules


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Reinsurance Technician, preferably in a Lloyd's Broker environment.
  • Ideally have an in-depth knowledge of the LORS system (however this is not essential) and proficiency in Excel
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Familiarity with premium accounting and treaty processing
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • PRA and FCA compliance awareness
