Full Job Description

Job Title: Senior Site Manager

Location: Slough

Salary: 65,000 - 75,000 + Car allowance + Pension + Health care + Holiday

Our client who is a leading main contractor based within the Berkshire region, in recent weeks they have secured a range of contracts around Berkshire & West London. Due to the influx in projects they are looking to recruit a highly motivated & experienced senior site manager to join their team.

This client is looking to strengthen their management team to deliver a high profile commercial scheme valued circa 100 million. Position will be focused around managing a diverse portfolio of packages including curtain walling, cladding, and substructure. As the project progresses, candidates will transition into the oversight of internal packages ranging from 5 million to 70 million, contributing significantly to the project's success and ensuring operational excellence at every phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Coordinate and manage project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Manage project budgets and finances, including tracking expenses and forecasting costs.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, contracts, and change orders.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on project status, risks, and opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods and materials.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to find solutions.
  • Proficient in project management software such as MS Project
