Full Job Description

We are working with a construction business based in the south east, who are embarking on on the next phase of 5 phases of construction on an ambitious Grade II listed refurbishment in South West London.

Due to continued expansion they are looking for a Senior Site Manager to lead the build / logistics team on this expansive scheme.

Reporting to the Project Director and Project Manager, you will be a “boots on the ground” on Senior Site Manager, who will be just as comfortable chasing trades out on site as you would be in the board room with the company directors.

The project:

5-year scheme with phase one already completed and 80% sold.

300 tastefully restored apartments.

Every apartment is Individual.

Person profile:

Experienced in listed/ heritage/ cut & carve / refurbishment works.

Experienced in managing a team, the team will consist of 5 Site Managers and 2 Logistics Manager reporting to you.

A minimum of 2 large scale refurbishments from cradle to grave throughout your career.

Stable career history.

The Role:

Manage all labour as necessary and coordinate the activities of trades and subcontractors involved with the site so that all operations are performed efficiently and in accordance with the construction programme and the quality and costs required.

Manage the site and ensure adherence to all policies, procedures and standards using specified drawings and instructions, within budget and on programme.

Ensure that all work is kept on programme and that all details as specified in the drawings and instructions are adhered to.

Monitor and drive quality, safety and environmental systems and promote a safety culture in full support of our 'excellent delivery' values and ethos.

Ensure full compliance with health and safety, quality and environmental legislation as well as compliant with the policies and procedures.

Monitor the roles and responsibilities matrix for the project.

Promote, encourage and manage effective teamwork and a good team environment.

Coach and motivate the site teams and lead by example.

CSCS Card

Asbestos Awareness

SMSTS

Scaffold Inspection

On offer is a basic salary of between £70,000 - £80,000 plus package including £5,000 car allowance, 25 days leave, pension, healthcare, bonus scheme
