Senior Social Worker – Assessment – West Sussex
Role:
Qualified Social Worker
Location: West Sussex

Pay: Up to £42 per hour
Contract: Full Time Locum
Hours: Full-time, with 2-3 days per week in the office
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks
- Undertaking direct work with children and families, including interviews and observations
- Liaising with other professionals and agencies to gather information and coordinate services
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other stakeholders
- Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children and families, and making adjustments to plans as necessary
- Providing support and guidance to families to help them achieve positive outcomes
- Completing accurate and timely case recordings and reports
- Participating in team meetings, supervision sessions, and training programs
- Adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, including safeguarding protocols
Requirements:
- Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent)
- HCPC registration
- Experience working as a social worker within children's services
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong assessment and decision-making skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
