Senior Social Worker – Assessment – West Sussex

Role: Qualified Social Worker
Location:  West Sussex
Team: Assessment
Pay:  Up to £42 per hour

Contract:  Full Time Locum

Hours: Full-time, with 2-3 days per week in the office

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducting assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks
• Undertaking direct work with children and families, including interviews and observations
• Liaising with other professionals and agencies to gather information and coordinate services
• Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other stakeholders
• Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children and families, and making adjustments to plans as necessary
• Providing support and guidance to families to help them achieve positive outcomes
• Completing accurate and timely case recordings and reports
• Participating in team meetings, supervision sessions, and training programs
• Adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, including safeguarding protocols

Requirements:

• Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent)
• HCPC registration
• Experience working as a social worker within children's services
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong assessment and decision-making skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development
