Senior Software Engineer

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our software development team in the UK.  This position is hybrid based out of our Newport office.

Take a key role in driving success as a Senior Software Engineer. You’ll be joining us at an exciting time as we are on a Cloud-Native journey with AWS and moving towards other cloud providers and on prem. Introducing leading edge technologies, enabling us to provide an efficient and resilient platform on which to continue developing product features to meet our customers’ needs.  

You are a highly enthusiastic individual with proven experience working within the .NET/C# software development space. 

• Commensurate industry experience of working with Microsoft technologies and considerable experience of working with C# and .Net Core.
• Demonstrate technical leadership based on proven experience of producing solutions based on best practises following Object oriented architecture and designs patterns. 
• Experience of writing Xunit tests, Acceptance, integration tests. 
• Attention to detail when dealing with complex features or defects and ability to provide accurate estimates. 
• Experience working with teams to build, test and deploy high quality, highly reliable, scalable applications, and APIs in a team environment.
• Experience working on Product development using an agile methodology.

• Develop features in a rapidly changing code base with .Net Core  using C# and RESTful API’s.
• Follow Test driven development (TDD) using Xunit and Behaviour driven development (BDD) using SpecFlow & Fluent Assertions.
• Reviewing and Maintaining code quality with Git, SonarQube and DAST.
• Follow Docker containerization and cloud deployment of Microservices using Kubernetes and Helm.
• Contribute to DevOps tasks such CI/CD on Azure DevOps.
