Are you a curious Senior Engineer with an interest in augmented reality and its progressive potential?

We are looking for someone to help redefine LEGO® Play Software Technology for better decision-making. Join us and help build the LEGO Group's digital future!

Core Responsibilities
  • This role is a key member of Play AI & Algorithms team, a part of the organisation building next generation of integrated physical/digital LEGO experience.
  • The successful candidate will be a technical contributor in our efforts to design, develop and deploy Augmented Reality in mobile applications.
  • This position consists in developing an AR framework with Machine Learning Engineers. Your job will focus on the mobile side to provide a platform that will then be used in our applications to provide a full-fledged AR experience.
  • Design and implement AR apps based on AR frameworks.
  • Collaborate with the team to build UI/UX components.
  • Design, build embedded software to enable tech enabled toys to join connected and metaverse backed play experiences.
  • Engineer products that implement business logic, modern design patterns and architectural principles.
  • Engineer products that follow highest coding standards, documentation and efficiency.

Your ability to build AI solutions and develop core algorithms will enable us to drive innovation and discover the new dimensions of Play

Do you have what it takes?
  • M.Sc. or Ph.D in Computer Science, Robotics or experience in a relevant field
  • Proven hands-on experience implementing algorithms for augmented or mixed reality applications, e.g., visual inertial odometry, object recognition and tracking, pose/state estimation and feature detection.
  • Solid experience with software design, implementation, debugging and profiling.
  • Experience of interfacing novel algorithms to AR frameworks, such as ARKit, ARCore or Unity AR Foundation
  • Experience on build computer vision solutions for mobile (iOS and Android)
  • Strong programming skills in multiple languages, e.g. C++, swift, .net or similar, and an ability to quickly learn new languages and framework
  • Experience on using common software development tools.
