Senior Systems Engineer

We are looking for an experienced electro- mechanical Systems Engineer to be part of a specialist defence client who deliver computing platforms and complex systems across a number of industries. You will have the chance to work on defence equipment and hit the ground running to take full reins of your new role.

You will be:

• Supporting all aspects of the Design to Order Service (DTOS), developing designs through concept and early-stage design as well as supporting the bidding process.
• Provide leadership and accountability in the delivery of systems engineering activities through the application of process, domain knowledge and experience, working as a systems engineering subject matter expert.
• Develop, structure and write the Basis of Design document flowing down customer requirements and their associated acceptance criteria.
• Create and maintain the requirements database, development of the Supplier requirements and their traceability to the customer requirement. Lead the acceptance process to demonstrate compliance.
• Produce and collate evidence to demonstrate system compliance with design and requirements specifications.
• Provide domain expertise in support of both internal and external design reviews via written and verbal means.

Essentials

• years of experience in systems for complex electro-mechanical systems
• conducting functional systems analysis
• in requirements management
• of all elements of the systems lifecycle
• in completing V&V Exercises
• in working to and auditing against electrical and safety standards

Desirable

• in working complex defence projects
• in Electrical Safety and Environmental testing
• in testing of EMC and regulatory requirements
