Senior Theatre Nurse / ODP - Private Hospital

Location:  Near St Albans - Hertfordshire

About the service: We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Senior Theatre Nurse / ODP to join our highly reputable private healthcare provider in their bright and vibrant private hospital near St Albans, Hertfordshire The hospital is ideally situated within easy reach of Hatfield, St Albans, Stevenage, Watford, North London and throughout Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Theatre Nurse / ODP to join a leading, forward-thinking and modern hospital boasting a range of facilities. The hospital offers a range of services including specialist rehabilitation physiotherapy and outpatient diagnostic facilities including fast-track access to X-ray, MRI, CT and ultrasound. The hospital has recently invested into the latest facilities and services and now offers a full range of surgical procedures and treatments. Working as a Senior Theatre Nurse / ODP would consist of working with 1 of the 3 operating theatres, joining the friendly and experience theatre team.
 
About the role:
You will be working as a Senior Theatre Nurse / ODP and will be responsible for:

  • To provide exemplary planned care for patients within the perioperative department and to assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the Scrub Team in the operating department across a range of clinical specialities.
  • Discuss, agree and explain the responsibilities for the assessment of patients including their needs and any associated risks.
  • Plan, delivery and evaluate care to meet patient's health and wellbeing, keeping within policies and procedures inline for the highest quality clinic outcomes
  • Effective verbal and written commination with patients and colleagues, with customer service standards front of mind
  • Working well independently and within a team

 Who we're looking for;

  • Be NMC/ HCPC registered- your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • At least 2 years UK experience working in scrub
  • Experience working in a busy environment under minimal supervision
  • Experience in orthopaedics, hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty and anterior cruciate ligaments reconstruction is desirable
