Job Advertisement: Senior Town Planner (6-Month Contract)

Location: London

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Salary: 40,000 - 55,000 pro rata

Join our client, a leading construction company committed to delivering innovative and sustainable projects. We are currently seeking a qualified Senior Town Planner to join our dynamic team on a 6-month contract basis.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing planning applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate planning applications, including preparation, submission, and negotiation.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform planning decisions.
• Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants to obtain necessary approvals and permissions.
• Provide expert advice on planning policies, regulations, and best practices.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate planning considerations into design and construction processes.
• Monitor and update project schedules to ensure timely completion of planning milestones.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree educated in Town Planning or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in town planning, preferably within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Membership of a relevant professional body (RTPI) is desirable but not essential.
