Senior Treasury Manager

WSH is the parent company for leading brands operating in the catering and hospitality sectors. Our brands operate in diverse sectors, including:·

Recent acquisitions provide the group with new opportunities and include prestigious locations such as Musee Du Louvre in Paris and partnerships with established chefs such as Tom Kerridge in the UK and Claus Meyers in Denmark.

A central support office provides financial, IT, supply chain and other administrative services to the group companies each of whom retains its own personality and who operate across a number of catering and hospitality markets. 

This role is based in our Reading office with hybrid working opportunities.

The centralised Treasury function for the WSH group manages 20+ banks, 200+ bank accounts, 50+ entities, 70k+ transactions per month, £3.0bn+ total cash inflows and outflows per year.  We look after the following areas:

• Cashflow forecasting
• Daily Liquidity Management and Payments
• Debt management
• Banking and facilities management
• Treasury Operations and Insurance
• Transaction postings and reconciliations
• Treasury transformation projects

This role is responsible for managing a small team of 2 people in Daily Liquidity Management and Payments, ensuring cash is in the right place at the right time to facilitate the group’s operations.  This role’s responsibilities also extend to other areas of treasury, effectively deputise for Head of Treasury and work with Head of Treasury to achieve the all-round treasury requirements of the whole Group.

Team management

• Lead a small team of two treasury analysts
• Develop KPIs, monitor and improve team performance
• Support the team on their day-to-day tasks

Daily liquidity management

• Review daily liquidity position and cash pooling requirements
• Approve treasury actions to maintain appropriate liquidity position
• Approve daily treasury payments
• Assist Head of Treasury in improving cash trapped and maximising working capital

Cash flow forecast

• Review/ensure accuracy of the historic cash flow data prepared by the team
• Prepare monthly cash-flow forecasts
• Prepare ad-hoc cash flow analysis
• Improve cash flow forecast accuracy and reporting formats
• Work closely with overseas subsidiaries in forecasting/controlling liquidity

Debt management

• Understand WSH’s debt portfolio and relevant risks
• Assist Head of Treasury with risk management programme
• Assist Head of Treasury with short-term FX trades/money market investments

Other

• Approve balance sheet positions/reconciliations in Blackline
• Manage treasury integration on acquisitions
• Support Head of Treasury with transformation projects (implementing Kyriba in 2024)
• Support Head of Treasury in new treasury solutions
• Support Head of Treasury with managing relationship with banks/lenders and rating agencies
• Support Head of Treasury with ad-hoc tasks
• Support Head of Treasury with audit queries

What we require of you:

• Treasury Cash Management, Banking and related Accounting knowledge
• Internal controls, operations and compliance knowledge
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office especially Excel
• Excellent people management and project management skills
• Can think strategically; identify and manage risks effectively
• Have ability to work well under pressure, and to prioritise and meet deadlines
