Role Purpose

We’re looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join our growing global user experience team and help us deliver key product initiatives. This role will provide invaluable input towards our ongoing product strategy, redefining how people interact with their healthcare providers.

The purpose of this role is to translate actionable insights into engaging, usable and consistent designs that deliver the desired outcomes for our users. This role will involve working across the entire product design spectrum: from ideation to design requirements into engineering support, drawing from UX design, UI design, information architecture design, and interaction design expertise to produce frictionless user experiences that are meaningful to our audiences.

As a senior figure, this role is expected to deliver briefs autonomously and interact with staff across the board: engineering, marketing, sales, customer success, product management, analytics, delivery management and quality assurance.

Key Accountabilities

Define design requirements and identify measures of success

Define the objectives behind each design initiative in collaboration with Project Managers, Business Analysts and other stakeholders so that the desired outcomes and measures of success are clear and agreed.

Analyse any relevant and available evidence to guide design decisions

Review any relevant, existing data from user testing, product analytics and across the business for each design initiative. Synthesise and share analyses with stakeholders when necessary to enable user-centered decision-making.

Facilitate ideation, document hypotheses and create measurement plans

Steer the product discovery process with Product Managers, Business Analysts, applying user-centered techniques with Engineering Managers and Delivery Managers to create promising designs which fit with product and delivery strategies. Document design decisions and the hypotheses behind them. Create measurement plans against hypotheses to enable continuous learning.

Iterative design, specifications and collaboration with engineering

Evolve concept designs into more specific solutions within the intersection of desirable, feasible and viable opportunities. Iterate designs, with increasing levels of fidelity. Create design specifications, deliver on time and support front end engineers to get the coded UI over the line.

Evolve our Design System

Leverage our centralised library of components—extending their flexibility where required—to create beautiful experiences. Evolve existing components and design specifications for new components, as needed. Keep the Design System design files and collateral updated with the latest technology available.

Experience & education

• Solid experience in applying user-centered techniques and processes to ensure the user is at the centre of every design initiative.
• Solid experience in designing UI components, app designs (native or web), and prototypes. Our tools: Figma, Protopie. We review UI through Chromatic.
• Knowledge of user research techniques, and experience creating research briefs for design initiatives.
• Enough knowledge of front-end engineering to be able to speak a common language.
• Likely to have experience, qualifications or experience in psychology, anthropology, sociology, human computer interaction, computer science, product design or a related field.
• Likely to have considerable professional experience at senior levels of an organisation.
