What you will be doing

We have an interesting opportunity for a highly capable SharePoint administrator to manage our SharePoint intranet. You will be configuring our SharePoint platform, adding document libraries, creating new areas and page templates and developing shared storage space, backup procedures and security patching.

To ensure success in this role, you will exhibit solid knowledge of the Microsoft application systems and the ability to create a positive experience for end-users. As an outstanding SharePoint administrator your expertise will result in smooth integration and efficient online collaboration.  

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys what they do and has a determined ‘can do’ attitude. A confident communicator, you should also be able to influence at all levels and liaise and communicate effectively with internal and external partners.

Your main duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Helping to define the strategy for the intranet. 
  • Taking overall day to day responsibility for the NorthStandard intranet platform and its’ associated legacy intranets, integrating applications, and creating libraries.
  • Being responsible for the creation of new content, templates and changes to site structure etc.
  • Providing intranet support and end-user training to power users.
  • Liaising with the Technology team to ensure that network infrastructure, encryption, security zones and firewalls for the intranet are in place and operating appropriately.
  • Work closely with the Knowledge and Information Manager to ensure that their requirements are reflected on the platform.   
  • Driving new features/developments as part of continuous improvement program.
  • Planning and project management of the consolidation of our legacy intranets.

Your profile

Ideally you will have:

  • At least 3 years' experience as a SharePoint administrator.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint tools, workflows, and SharePoint forms for tasks.
  • Preferably a Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or similar.
  • Project experience of intranet consolidation and migrations 
  • Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to confidently provide recommendations to stakeholders on the best way to present information 
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, varying workload 
  • Keeping up-to-date with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades.
