most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the
forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy.
Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC
Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained
planning approval and Government financing support. The project has
started construction and is now seeking private investment. When
completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes
for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to
achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We have a fantastic opportunity
for Assistant Project Managers from the construction or energy sector
to join our expanding site team, working on site at Sizewell C.
This’ll be a pivotal role key to the success of SZC, and
you’ll be joining the project at a vital time in its construction,
with an opportunity to grow with the project.
The Role
You’ll be based on site at Sizewell C, responsible
for supporting our project managers with the delivery of highways and
associated structures and utilities, within budget and on schedule to
support the successful build of the project.
What
You'll Do:
As one of our Assistant Project Managers,
you'll be at the forefront of shaping SZC through the development of
cutting-edge infrastructure. Your scope of accountability will
encompass a diverse range of projects, including but not limited to:
- Design and construction of on and off-site infrastructure
- Park and Ride sites
- Rail works
- Accommodation campus
- Temporary cabins
- Temporary construction roads
- Hardstandings
- Utility networks (potable water, comms & data, power, fire fighting water, etc.)
- Highway works (bypasses, public realm works to adoptable standards)
What You'll Bring:
- Proven project management experience in large-scale construction or energy projects.
- Civil Engineering background.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in the energy or construction sector.
- It’d be great if you’ve got a qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
