Ruroc has grown from £1m rev to a £30m revenue Action / Motorsports helmet brand selling into over 90 countries globally and we are primed ready to dominate an industry that has been stagnant for too long!

All sales take place through our eCommerce store giving us a direct connection with our customers that legacy / competitor brands do not possess. This close connection to the end rider has given us the ability to reduce the feedback loop and rapidly innovate and enhance our gear at a rate never seen before in the global helmet industry.

We control our destiny; we manage everything end-to-end to deliver our promise to customers and fulfil the potential of the Ruroc brand. We are building world-class teams across the board and we have invested in our own Ruroc Factory to keep up with our ever-snowballing demand.

We are now looking for a Social Media Executive to join the team, focusing on Moto. This role will suit someone in the early stages of their Social Media career; eager to succeed and work hard and is willing to learn from scratch.


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Big Picture:

  • Developing and executing a social media content strategy for our Moto lines, using your experience and knowledge of the category to help us take our social communication strategy to the next level.
  • Building a genuine two-way communication with our audience; becoming a part of the relevant discussions; making Ruroc a mainstay of riders’ online world.
  • Working with the Community Manager (in the Brand Team) to manage the online side of our community across our social platforms.
  • Liaise with the Customer Service team to manage a positive experience for our riders, flowing seamlessly across Social and CS.


The Day to Day:

  • On-going engagement on Social, representing the Ruroc brand and being its voice on its own channels as well as taking part in discussions in the broader Social space.
  • Ensuring that the Ruroc community feels listened to, and answered - this includes connecting with the Customer Service Team or Product Teams, to ensure proper response to Social discussions.
  • Planning and producing content across social channels
    • Facebook (Feed posts, Stories)
    • Instagram (Feed posts, Stories, Reels, IGTV Videos)
    • TikTok
    • YouTube (Shorts, Long form content)
    • Other Channels TBD, to fit the constantly evolving Social landscape, and Ruroc’s strategy
  • Working with the design team to generate designs and artworks for posts and banners.
  • Working with photographers to create incredible imagery, optimised for social.
  • Working with our videographers to create engaging video posts and stories.
  • Working with our roster of influencers and content creators to ensure we get a continuous flow of relevant content from them.
  • Curating and engaging with relevant social content & discussions.
  • Weekly performance reporting on your channels, using Hootsuite as your main analytics platform.
    • Identify key drivers of follower growth, engagement and reach.
    • Adapt your content strategy around the performance of these metrics. .
  • While Moto will remain your main focus, you will also be involved in performing the same tasks in other categories (Snow...) as and when required (depending on season, team holidays, temporary spike of activities, etc.)


Requirements
This role is for you if:

You have...

  • Complete understanding of the Facebook and Instagram landscape. You live and breathe social and understand what makes people engage with content.
  • Ability to co-ordinate projects and successfully manage content through from concept to delivery.
  • Exceptional creative ability and can make the right calls with rationale when required.
  • Self-motivated and organised.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure. Remaining proactive rather than reactive, always.
  • Ability to follow creative directions whilst also thinking outside the box.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach to working. Both short-term and long-term projects.
  • Professional experience in the Motorcycling industry is not critical, but a genuine passion for biking, and a good understanding of that culture, are required.


You might have...

  • Experience or passion for other action sports categories such as skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, bmx, mtb...
  • Proven track record developing and building successful social media channels.
  • Experience working with Hootsuite or Creator Studio (we use both) for:
    • Content scheduling
    • Data reporting
  • Agency or in-house experience working in a social/marketing team.
  • Experience managing multiple deliverables and working across projects.
  • Experience interpreting and reporting on data, to create insights and actions for future content.
  • Experience working within a Digital Marketing team.
  • Experience using Basecamp.
  • Experience using project management tools, such as Wrike
