What is the
Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme:
This programme
offers the knowledge and skills to prepare candidates who already have
a law degree, or conversion course, to become qualified legal
professionals. On scheme, you’ll develop the skills and confidence
needed to work efficiently to fluid deadlines within a fast-paced
environment. The learning will prepare you to handle complex,
confidential or sensitive information, draft client documents, carry
out research and generally conduct legal matters through to
completion.
In your studies, you’ll cover topics such
as:
- Property Law and Practice
- Wills and the Administration of Estates
- Business Law and Practice
- Dispute Resolution
- Criminal Law and Practice and
Professional Practice Skills
You’ll study for the apprenticeship on a day release basis, with the rest of your week spent working within the business. At the end of the programme, you’ll sit the Solicitors Qualifying Examination assessments.

Training, development and
support for you:
This is a level 7 apprenticeship
and your training provider will be BPP Law.
This
programme provides a range of opportunities to be involved across the
Sizewell C project.
Working in the Sizewell C legal
team, you will be supporting the team in developing contracts ranging
from local benefits through to large commercial contracts and land
arrangements, legal processes, contract management and advising the
company and boards. In addition, it is anticipated over the duration
of the apprenticeship you may have the opportunity to work in EDF
legal teams and in SZC non legal teams as you build your understanding
of the wider business. The future is yours for the taking!

Where you’ll work:
The apprenticeship will be based in London and you
will need to be able to travel and work in a hybrid way.

To join our team you’ll need:
Five
(5) GCSEs between A* - C (9 - 4) including English and Maths
PLUS:
A minimum 2:2 English Law degree; or a 2:2 non-law degree
PLUS a pass on an English law conversion course - The law degree or
conversion course must have been completed within the last 5
years.
A passion for starting a career in Legal.
To be
appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for
Security Vetting which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a
resident of the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
Our Assessment Centre will be held virtually on Thursday 18th April.
