School Speech & Language Therapist - Ascot, Berkshire
Band 6
(Part-time)
Our client's team of education and therapy
staff help to provide a high-quality educational experience for their
young people and a professional and extensive CPD programme for all
staff. They are looking to appoint a part-time (3 days a week) Speech
and Language Therapist who is enthusiastic, keen to learn, innovative
and would fit in well with a well-established Speech and Language
team.
As a Speech and Language Therapist at the school, you
will be an integral part of their dynamic on-site therapy team
dedicated to building the confidence of students and preparing them
for life. Their therapy team provides Speech and Language Therapy,
Occupational therapy, and Clinical Psychology.
As an
autonomous professional working within their therapy team, you will
help to provide a high-quality educational experience for their young
people. Alongside the lead SALT, you will deliver therapy, train
others, and help to shape a developing service while enhancing your
own clinical skills. You will contribute to service-specific projects
and could follow through your own ideas with the support of the
experienced lead SALT.
You will need an HCPC recognised speech
and language degree. The role includes assessment, diagnosis, and
management of children with complex speech, language, and
communication needs. You will work closely with families, peers, and
professionals in the educational setting.
