Sports and Exercise Medicine Consultant/ MSK Physician

Bupa Cambridge – CB24 9ZR

Due to increased demand, we are expanding our MSK Physician service within Bupa Health Clinics and are currently looking for Sports and Exercise Medicine Consultants to join our multidisciplinary teams and work in our Cambridge Centre .

You’ll help us make health happy by:

  • Coordinating SEM/MSK Physician  audits
  • Providing clinical input into SEM/MSK Physician incidents, risks and complaints
  • Providing clinical input into NPS detractor comments and suggestions for improvement
  • Updating and creating SEM/MSK Physician specific policies
  • Working with the MSK Clinical Leadership team to advise on SEM/MSK Physician specific clinical enquiries
  • Advising the MSK Clinical and Operational leadership team on improvements that could be made to the SEM/MSK Physician service, e.g. new products, best practice.
  • Working with the operational management team to recruit and induct SEM/MSK Physicians
  • Working with MSK Clinical Lead on certain delegated projects as required
  • Working with the MSK Clinical Leadership team to ensure that all clinical delivery in Health Clinics meet the CQC fundamental standards and that our medical reporting complies with Bupa Data Protection policies and quality standards

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • GMC registration & license to practice – listed on the Sport and Exercise Consultant register
  • CCT in Sport & Exercise Medicine
  • Post-graduate Diploma or MSc in MSK Medical or SEM from a recognised awarding body
  • Evidence of ongoing engagement with MSK CPD
  • Evidence of at least 12 months post-CCT clinical practice seeing patients from the general population presenting with a variety of MSK conditions
  • Excellent customer skills and a passion to deliver high levels of effective evidence-based care.
