Job Summary

Salary:         £37,500 - £45,000 (Depending upon experience)

Hours :   37.5 per week 

Location:              33 Grosvenor Place, London  

Contract:              Full time, permanent position

What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to join our Neurosurgery & Orthopaedics team with a highly competitive salary range up to £45,000 depending upon experience.

This is a full time, permanent position would require the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week.

This is a Monday-Sunday, Days/Nights/Weekends role with the following shift patterns:

  • Monday to Sunday Long Days– 0730-2000 
  • Monday to Sunday Nights – 1930-0800 
  • Bank Holidays – 0730-2000 & 1930-0800 

As a Staff Nurse in our team, you will build your experience within areas such as neurosurgery, spinal surgery and orthopaedic flaps through cross-training with your colleagues via "Buddy Systems" and working in an environment where all caregivers, regardless of seniority all work together with the aim of providing first-class, personalised, patient care.

The floor also houses an Orthopaedic Gym which offers rehabilitation to all patients post-operatively.

What will your duties include?

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with CCL’s established policies, procedures and protocols
  • Prioritise nursing care, recognize deterioration in patient’s condition and escalates to the senior nursing team /clinicians immediately
  • Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
  • Create a climate of support and cooperation, a culture of shared accountability across the organisation whilst holding individuals to account where there is non-compliance
  • Ensure a safe environment for patients, caregivers and visitors following the guidelines of risk management. Proactively reporting incidents, risks and/or failings taking responsibility to minimise these.

What we need from you?

  • Nursing Bachelor’s Degree.
  • ILS provider course completed and qualification in required upon hire, or within 3 months of hire.
  • Current nursing registration (First Level) through the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) required, with no restrictions to practice.
  • Demonstrable broad clinical experience in the ortho/neuro field ideally
  • Evidence of continuing professional development within ortho/neuro field ideal
