Steelwork Structural Engineer - Hybrid

Full Job Description

Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Steelwork Structural Engineer to join their well-established and successful Steelwork Fabrication business.

You will have experience in Steel Frame buildings and hold a professional engineering qualification. The ability to do detailing would also be advantageous, or to have a desire to learn some detailing.

You will receive a very good starting salary, along with a supportive and friendly work environment in a privately owned company. Some hybrid/remote working is also available.

Structural Engineer duties include:

• Design of structural sections and associated connections where required
• Providing technical/design advice to internal drawing office as required
• Communicating with other team members and project stakeholders as required
• Visits to site as required

Structural Engineer requirements:

• Must hold a professional Engineering qualification.
• Proven experience working as a Structural Engineer on steel framed building projects, either for a fabrication company or a consultancy /main contractor.
• Detailing experience would be advantageous but is not essential, but a desire to learn some aspects is preferable
• Experience working with design and analysis software
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Live in/within a commutable distance of the office near Malton, Yorkshire.
