How you can impact the business

  • The Store Manager’s purpose is takeownership of running their store successfully. You are instrumental in ensuringwe provide the highest levels of service and Excellent Coffee with a Smileevery time;
  • You will be responsible for monitoringinternal store processes such as financial indicators, health and safetycompliance and a range of other key performance indicators to ensure targetsare met;
  • You will provide a supportive andencouraging atmosphere for your team in store, actively encouraging consistentimprovement across all areas of performance;
  • You will take responsibility for thefinancial compliance and safety and security of your store, through vigilantobservation and adherence to cash procedure;
  • Ensure the accurate and timelycompletion of all store documents including having rotas completed well inadvance to ensure full coverage in store;
  • Monitor the recruitment needs of yourstore with the support of your Area Manager to ensure the most talentedcandidates are hired;
  • Take responsibility for the trainingand development of your team in store in order to nurture consistentprogression. This includes monitoring completion of online training through MyCosta Learning and in store performance and development plans;
  • Ensure that all Team Members in storeare supported with their training journey to maximise sales opportunitiesthrough excellent presentation, optimal ordering and all relevant sales techniquessuch as upselling;
  • Keep up-to-date with relevant CostaCoffee brand standards and communications including internal Goldex Investmentsstandards and communications to ensure compliance and the passing of Costachecks; and
  •  To ensure consistent communications with both your Line Manager and Office Staffto keep stores functioning. This includes payroll and HR queries, raisingmaintenance issues and submitting banking and any required paperwork on time.

Desirable

  • Management experience in a coffee store;
  • Worked within a customer facing environment; and
  • Worked in the hospitality/ retail industry.
