Job Description
The Strategic Planning Associate
will work within the Strategy team to determine where IWI is going and
how it will get there. You will be responsible for helping to create
and implement IWI’s medium- and long-term goals, while working closely
with directors to ensure IWI is meeting goals and
milestones.
Responsibilities
Knowledge
The
Strategic Planning Associate will work with the team in an information
gathering capacity within women’s human rights showing what needs to
be accomplished and how to make it happen
You must be aware,
or learn about potential legislation that may affect any areas of
IWI's operations
Strategy
Will assist with
spearheading discussions and contributes insight derived from your
knowledge and analysis of the industry and competitors
You
will make recommendations and test ideas that are put forward by other
members of IWI
You will draft strategy documents and
presentations to be made to key stakeholders in IWI
Planning
and Execution
The Strategic Planning Associate will help IWI
form strategy for our teams, and will then work to help implement the
strategy
You will work under the direction of the Director
of Strategy to assist in the creation of strategy documents
You may be asked to supervise ad hoc research projects or feasibility
studies that do not clearly fall within an existing department unit
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, or a related
field.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant
work experience, demonstrated leadership abilities, solid management
skills and success in assisting with the development of strategic
projects.
Outstanding quantitative and qualitative
intellectual abilities are essential.
Proficiency with
database, presentation, and spreadsheet applications is required.
Thoughtful and practical approach to problem-solving and a
genuine passion for women’s human rights, and share IWI’s vision and
mission.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills
are a must.
Strong analytical and planning skills and
creative thinking.
Demonstrated commitment to the values of
diversity, inclusiveness and empowerment.

Time Commitment: The minimum commitment is an average of 10 hours per week including a weekly one on one meeting with supervisor.
