Full Job Description

Our Client was founded over thirty years ago, and have grown into one of London's leading Structural Engineering consultancies. Quality, innovation, excellence in design and cost efficiency is at the forefront of their objectives.

They have a vast experience in refurbishment projects, which include commercial as well as residential buildings. In addition, their experience extends in the design of new build structures, as well as design of specialist structural elements including structural glass.

We are looking for an Engineer to compliment one of their teams, and are ideally looking for a Graduate Engineer with ideally approx. 3 or 4 years experience working for a similar Engineering Consultancy.

First preference would be for Engineers who have worked on UK projects (and they are therefore familiar with UK building regulations etc) and even more ideal would be to have this experience gained in London

Candidates will have shown a steady work history (i.e wouldn't be looking for someone with 3 jobs in 3 years)

This role is more permanent works that temp works, and will be working on a lot of refurb projects.

Candidates must have achieved at least a BEng 2:1, or better, in Civil Engineering (or something closely related). They require someone with a keen interest and/or knowledge in most of the following areas of work:

1. Detailed design of reinforced concrete, steelwork, masonry and timber building structures

2. Design of glass structures

3. Structural steelwork connection design and detailing

4. Temporary works design

5. Letter and report writing

6. Site inspection and surveys

Production of drawings and sketches

With having 2 x ISTRUCTE Examiners in the office, we are in a great position to assist with the Chartership process, and will assist all Engineers in their pursuit of this goal.

With training/seminars etc, if an Engineer has the capability to get Chartered then this will be achieved with us
