Manpower Engineering have immediate opportunities available for
Flux Core 6G Welders on an ongoing project in Fife
The
Role
Working as a Flux Core Welder on the T31 project at
Rosyth Docks where no two days will be the same, you will be welding
various components of the T31 Frigates predominately in vertical and
overhead positions
Standard hours of work are 37 per week Monday
to Thursday and overtime is available on evenings, Fridays and
Sundays.
PAYE Rates
- Dayshift 18.83 plus holidays
- Nightshift 27.68 plus holidays
- Overtime 28.25
- 45 per day travel is paid if you live outside of a 35 mile radius of the docks, this is capped a 5 days
What do I need to be successful in this role
- A recognised Welding Apprenticeship to N/SVQ Level 3 as a minimum.
- Previous welding experience, including significant Flux Core all positions experience
- To be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Arc Air Gouging, grinding, and burning experience is desirable
- Previous experience of working within the heavy engineering/marine defence industry would be advantageous
Note: You will be required to successfully pass a weld
test as part of the recruitment process and be able to achieve BPSS
security clearance
This is a long-term contract
as the project is expected to last until 2028
