Student Support Officer

INTO University Partnerships-Brighton

Fixed-term contract till 13th September 2024

Full-time (37.5 hours p/week)

From £27,253– depending on experience

Are you a compassionate and proactive individual looking for a rewarding opportunity in education and student support?

INTO University Partnerships are opening applications for highly motivated Student Support Officers, to join us on a full-time basis to support the Pre-sessional English Online learning team in delivering the Pre-sessional programmes that run in the summer term. This includes the preparation of the term and assistance with the platform, content and live lesson environment checks, enrolments and providing student and staff support throughout the duration of the term, assessments and the end of term processes.

As a dedicated advocate for students success, you will provide guidance, assistance and support by managing pre, during and end of term student communication via the online PSE mailbox, related to technical queries, any issues and possible bugs with the eLearning activities as well as addressing any general queries in order to escalate them further to the team to resolve and advice students.

As a Student Support Officer, you will liaise with centres at the beginning the term, during the term and at the end of the term, including the distribution of transcripts.

You will also assist the staff with the use of the Virtual Learning Environment to support teaching and learning.

Another key part of your role is to create and upload the online content for the modules in line with the Schemes of work and the module requirements.

This role is a great opportunity for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with international students and the Academic English Team.

You will have good knowledge of PC’s (Windows, Apple, Android), Microsoft Office and will be expected to understand and follow documented procedures.  

The position is based as a working from home mode, however space at the Brighton office may be organised if needed.
