Your work matters to millions.

ITV Studios Daytime creates over six and a half hours of live TV every day. With programmes on air from 6am to 6pm, there’s a constant buzz!

The ITV Studios Daytime slate is filled with Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women. The Daytime market is highly competitive and vitally important for both ITV Studios and our network. Most of these programmes run 52 weeks a year and are critical to our share of viewing. Daytime hands the ratings baton over to peak.

It's an exciting time to be part of our team with all of our big brand programmes having been refreshed with a modern on screen look as well as high editorial aspiration. We bring our viewers the latest breaking news, biggest entertainment stories and exclusives and we have a lot of fun along the way.

The Studio Technician will work as part of our live multi-camera studio team, providing support to our Camera, Sound, Lighting and Scenic teams on a rotational basis. They will report into the Studio Managers and work across all four, live Daytime programmes.

This is a varied role as you will be assisting our Camera, Sound, Lighting and Scenic teams with all technical aspects of the studio. This will include rigging of studio cameras and monitors, including looking after cables during repositioning and hand held operations, managing and rigging microphones and foldback, focussing and repositioning of lights and setting props, manual handling of the daily set turnarounds and ensuring visual consistency and safe operations at all times. We will also look to you to identify routine maintenance requirements and organising repairs and stock liaison with all the relevant staff.

You must have practical experience of working in a live studio environment if preferred, but not essential. The candidate should show keen enthusiasm for the industry, demonstrable through past experience, study or personal projects . You must also have an awareness and working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation, policies and practices. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to learn about all aspects of the technical elements that go into making live programmes. It’s essential applicants have a flexible and positive approach to work and exceptional team working skills. You will also have the ability to work under pressure, prioritise, problem solve and be a great communicator.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work across all four of our award winning, live, day time programmes on a weekly or monthly shift pattern. You will be part of a forward thinking, fast paced creative team with some of the best in the business.

Please note this role involves early starts at 4am according to the rota pattern.
