Production Planner  - Full Time  - Leeds , United Kingdom

Sulzer, a world-leading manufacturer of pumping, agitation, mixing, separation, and purification technologies, is seeking a Production Planner to join our vibrant  team in Leeds. As a key player in our manufacturing operations, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation and collaboration, shaping the future of production processes. Your meticulous planning skills will ensure seamless coordination across various departments, optimizing resource allocation and meeting production targets. Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develop production schedules and plans to meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimising costs.
  • Coordinate with various departments including production, procurement, and logistics to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Utilize SAP to manage production orders, material requirements, and capacity planning.
  • Analyse production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure product specifications and standards are met.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in production planning within an engineering or manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in using MRP/ERP systems is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
