Surf Coach

The Wave are on thelookout for aspiring ISA Level 2 Surf Coaches to come and join us for the 2024 season! This will take place on 27 th  – 29 th  April  at Fistral Beach.

We understand abarrier to achieving the required coaching qualifications can often be the costand the location of course providers. We want to make this easier for aspiring Level 2 Surf Coaches. We will therefore cover the cost of you training upfront, provideequipment and ensure you have guaranteed work for the season ahead however we will not be covering travel or accommodation.

In order to beconsidered you must be able to commit to the following:

• You must be a qualified ISA Level 1 Coach and hold a valid beach Lifeguard qualification.
• You will be able to surf to an advanced level and have a solid understanding of all surfing manoeuvres.
• 2 years surf coaching experience. This must include time at the beach and a duration that gives you the experience you need to take your coaching to the next level.
• Must meet the requirements set out by ISA:
• A passion for coaching and developing your coaching career. You will have an interest in coaching at a higher performance level and covering topics such as competitive surfing and sports psychology.
• You will then be delivering Beginner to Advanced coaching at The Wave. This will include mentoring our Level 1 coaches.

The Training Contract

You will be requiredto enter into a training agreement, whereby, subject to completing a minimumamount of hours during your employment you will incur no charge for the cost ofthe course. For individuals who don’t meet these hours, a proportionate chargewill be deducted on your final pay. The training agreement will set out thefull cost implications.
