Job Title: Sustainability Assistant/Lead

Location: Hull, United Kingdom

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum

Do you have experience in BREEAM assessment and a strong background in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Sustainability Assistant/Lead in Hull!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement sustainability strategies for construction projects, including BREEAM assessment and certification.
  • Conduct sustainability assessments and audits to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers and site teams on sustainable construction practices, materials, and technologies.
  • Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and carbon emissions, to track progress and identify areas for optimization.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, to promote a culture of sustainability and foster partnerships for innovative solutions.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Engineering, or a related field. Additional qualifications or certifications in BREEAM assessment and ESG practices are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in sustainability roles within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of BREEAM standards and sustainable building practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends to inform decision-making.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive mindset and a passion for driving positive change towards a more sustainable future.
