From Swimming lessons, to walking football and everything in-between we are driven to provide fun and welcoming sessions to support the whole community to be active, both within our leisure centres and in the local community.

We are seeking an inspirational and passionate Swim School Manager to build on our excellent reputation and programme of swim activities and to develop our Swim School.

The main duties will be to drive aquatic activities within set budgets to achieve commercial success by developing a comprehensive pool programme, including Learn to Swim, School and Club programmes and training staff to Freedom Leisure’s high standards.

The role will include some early evening and weekend working, with scope to develop skills and qualifications that could provide opportunities to move further within the business.

The person we are looking for needs to be passionate about swimming, have a drive to lead commercial success, a natural ability to promote activities, as well as have the ability to manage a number of priorities at the same time and be able to build, lead and motivate staff.

The good thing is that we provide you with full training and great potential for career progression, we have over 100 facilities across England and Wales – many of our staff have built successful careers with us because they love the having a positive impact in their local communities and enjoy the variety that the role provides.

Hours: 37 hours a week - Monday to Sunday (Rota basis)

Requirements

  • To design, maintain, monitor and report back on a financially viable swimming lesson programme that meets the needs of the centre customers, schools, and pre-schoolers.
  • To ensure the smooth administrative running of the swim school.
  • To organise and communicate the swimming teacher rota in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all lessons are covered by authorised staff.
  • To organise the work carried out by swimming teachers
  • To assist in the recruitment of the swimming teachers.
  • Level 2 Teaching Aquatics
